auto bailout

It appears that US motor companies have failed to overcome the saturated population of car owners by producing too many less-than-innovative products of which the strapped population cannot afford to purchase. I cannot understand the idea that democrats who love the environment so much are pushing for this bailout of carbon emission producing automobiles with little or no strings attached when apparently a 25 billion dollar stimulus a few months back was insufficient. This bailout appears to only be a temporary solution to help some laborers keep their job and former laborers keep their pension when failing to allow these companies to herniate resulting in the natural course the job market will take to be patched up with foreign markets, government jobs, new innovations, etc. What the hell are we going to do with more cars when we don't need them and can't afford them and how the hell will the automakers pay back the government when they continue to loose money?

  1. The UAW association might just have the ability to save the big three, their own jobs, investors 401ks and IRAs, and tax payers money if they can reset their contracts to reasonable requirements. They are discussing cutting back on the jobs bank, which as I understand it is a bank of individuals who no longer work for the big three, but are still getting paid and possibly even benefits. This fact alone is a testament to how ridiculous and selfish these union contracts can be. For the sake of their own jobs and tax payer's money, the UAW association should forgo their selfishness and cut the fat on an already gluttonous organization.
